Up front is alyssum; on the seed package it reads “frost tolerant: NO” although this little bouquet was planted last spring (2019). It survived the winter in this unheated hoop house, with dipping temps into the teens over a dozen times. Alyssum is the team leader on the biodiversity of this house; the first plant to flower. Spinach is bolting with flowers to follow then we a wide variety of other stuff planted here which includes black seeded Simpson lettuce, multicolor Asian spinach, green onions, daisies, red sail lettuce, dill, swiss chard and carrots.
