Going into this year there was a lot of uncertainty with compliance and we decided to take a different path from last year where we grew clones (every plant was the same). This year’s experiment was to bi and/or tri crop the hemp this season. This meant growing for seed and biomass at the same time. Then we decided to enhance the experiment a bit further by making feminized seed. Over the season we did 3 different pollinations; one regular open pollination then two reversals to make feminized seed. The third use beyond bio mass and seed will be using the stalk for mulch. The seed its self can and will be used for two purposes too, seed to grow and grain to eat.

This is our Boax X Cherry Blossom selection from the F1 seed stock (2019), which we then reversed to create our F2/S1 seed stock in (2020).

Traits: Super late to flower near September, late October to early November finishing which is great in our southern climate, purple buds with intense earth/musky terps, excellent mildew resistance, little to no caterpillar damage, survived numerous hard freezes (15+) from Febuary to April in our unheated hoop house. Stocky 3 to 5 ft round plants. 9

How to use:

.

Spray all parts you want to turn into pollen sacks, almost drenching the plant. Do this indoors or cover the ground and surrounding area when using, avoid wind. Spray at the change to 12/12 or with auto flowers at the first signs of pistols. Spray every 5 days till pollen drops, this can take about 3 weeks give or take. Tips: Only spray 1 plant or those selected plants that have been chosen to be pollen donors, that is their only job. Start your donor plants 1 or 2 week prior to your girls who will receive the pollen.
